Why Isn’t It Friday?

I woke up this morning with that wonderful Friday feeling. And then I remembered it was only Thursday.  #sadface.

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, my thoughts naturally turn to Christmas.  Over the summer I moved a large antique hutch into my dining room, to display all my red transferware and other assorted knick-knacks. The hutch came with the house and needs a new pane of glass, which I will replace, at some point before I die. Maybe. The transferware is all from the local thrift stores and yard sales. It’s a cheap hobby to maintain and way more interesting than collecting stamps.  I am super happy with how the whole thing looks. I will be even super-happier to decorate it for Christmas.  #happyface

There, now I feel more prepared to tackle another eight hour day under fluorescent lights.

Have you started thinking about Christmas decorating yet?

  1. Christmas has been in the background of my thoughts for at least the last 3 weeks. I love planning the little details of decorating and gifting. This year I am going with a natural feel utilizing brown craft paper and twine to package up the gifts for loved ones. #falalalala
