Hooray for Friday! I don’t know about you, but the holiday sweet treats have started creeping in… everywhere. Candy canes, fudge, cookies, candies, and cakes are starting to pop up in my office, at school events, in my shopping cart….they’re everywhere! I am still trying to recover from Thanksgiving thank you very much, and am not quite ready to dive into peppermint cocoa bites. To combat the onslaught of Christmas Cheer, I thought I would share some healthier sweet treat recipes I’ve gathered from Pinterest.
These Tropical White Chocolate Energy Bars from the Creative Bite are a nice alternative to sugary boxed granola bars.
If you are looking for a healthy cookie, check out these Cranberry Jam Thumbprint Cookies from Amy’s Healthy Baking. These little bites are made with whole wheat flour and a less sugary jam, than their traditional Christmas counterparts.
At our house, my kids are a big fan of these easy Apple Spice Oatmeal Cookies
If you are looking for an easy and healthy snack-on-the-go, try this superfood Honey and Wild Blueberry from Pinch of Yum. I am especially partial to wild blueberries, because they are so abundant in Maine!
