I hosted my very first Christmas Open House this past weekend. I invited a handful of friends and family, to keep it simple. We served an assortment of appetizers as well as a roasted turkey (bought on sale at Thanksgiving) and I made these fancy-dancy marshmallows for hot chocolate.
I love, love, love a good cheese plate. This one featured boursin cheese (a kid favorite), blue cheese and smoked cheddar, served with some fresh grapes, dried apricots & figs and crackers.
It was lovely to visit with some of my close friends and family – many of whom I don’t usually see during the hectic holiday season. I’m excited to do it again next year, and include more guests.
