Putting the Gardens to Bed

This weekend we took advantage of the sunshine and did some much needed fall clean-up.  The kids raked a mountain of leaves and I put my garden patches to bed for the season.

I found a few more tomatoes hidden among the tangle of leaves; they’re resting comfortably on the dining room window sill, to be made into salsa or red sauce in the coming week.
