Daylight Savings started this weekend, so from now until March I’ll spend considerably more time indoors. The upside of all this darkness is that I make more time for reading – both online and off. I thought it would be good to share some of my favorite blogs that I visit to pass the long winter months. This week I’m sharing my favorite Maine blogs – which cover everything from the Maine woods, to lobster, to life in the Pine Tree state.
Chiots Run – A Maine-based blog about gardening and living the simple life. Author Suzy Morris posts gorgeous photographs.
MyMainelyGirlAdventures – All about one woman’s (okay, My Aunt Staci) adventures in the Maine Wilderness hunting, fishing and spending time with her family.
The Road to The Farm – Another Maine-based blog that focuses on creating a homemade life, with beautiful photos.
Maine-ly Lobster – This blog is written by a Mainer living in Great Britain. It’s a neat read and captures the essence of coastal Maine. Bonus, it’s has some great recipes!
Shakespeare’s Mom – This isn’t a specific Maine blog, per se. But it happens to be written by a Mainer and author, Kate Parlin, who is a riot. Her adventures in parenting three little girls are hysterical.
The Old Pine Tree – A well written outdoor blog featuring beautiful photography of Maine. I especially like it because the author travels in parts of the state I don’t often get to.
Maine Outdoors Woman – Author Tammy Lea writes about love, life, and adventure from her Family’s Maine cabin in the woods.
Kim Kalicky – A Maine-based author whose blog is poetically written.
Moosetique Musings – Written by a Maine Transplant, Moosetique Musings features great photos, recipes, and general musings of daily life.
Do you have a favorite blog? A favorite Maine blog? Tell me about it!
